Commercial Office Rentals at the The Former JP Morgan Chase Building
Originally known as the Union Carbide Building, the JP Morgan Chase Building was designed by architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The structure is elevated above the train tracks that lead to Grand Central Station, and therefore, the lobby is actually located on the second floor. It is a double-height space and is lined with modern red panels. The tower’s exterior is comprised of a grid of steel mullions infilled with glass, and a 13-story addition has been added for expanded office space. The building has been fully renovated to the level of LEED Platinum certification in order to modernize it and make it more energy efficient.
JP Morgan Chase is the primary tenant in the building. Amenities include on-site security. The building’s location near Grand Central Terminal offers the convenience of several subway lines, including the 4, 5, 6, and 7 trains as well as Metro North and Amtrak service out of Manhattan.
