140 Broadway, Marine Midland Building contains commercial real estate, Manhattan | Metro Manhattan Office Space

The tight and irregular street grid of lower Manhattan resulted in a trapezoidal shaped site for the Marine Midland Building, which is also called the HSBC Bank Building. The modern tower's exterior features a curtain wall of dark tinted glass infilled with a grid of bronzed aluminum spandrels. The building's interior spaces have high ceilings with full height windows that offer incredible views, and the efficient layout results in nearly column-free spans across the average floor plate of 25,000 square feet. Beneath the structure, a plaza contains the Red Cube sculpture by Isamu Noguchi.

HSBC no longer occupies the building since they have moved headquarters, and current tenants include Brown Brothers Harriman, Dominion Bond Rating Services and the YMCA Retirement Fund. Amenities of the Marine Midland Building include on-site management and security, three-cell under-floor duct systems to accommodate telecommunications networks and high-speed elevators. Its downtown location is convenient to most major subway lines and ferries.
