Its facade features defined vertical elements clad in limestone with glass infill. The structure was originally known as the U. S. Rubber Company Building. A 19-story addition was completed in the mid-1950s by architects Harrison & Abramovitz. The RKO Center Theater, which originally occupied a portion of the site, was demolished to make way for the new portion.
