The International Toy Center complex was originally located at 200 Fifth Avenue, overlooking Madison Square Park. The building was recently fully renovated with an emphasis on sustainability. It no longer serves as a showroom for toys, but rather it contains commercial office spaces for rent. Its U-shaped configuration admits plenty of natural light into offices, and the original white terra cotta exterior has been preserved. The courtyard has been planted with bamboo stalks and hanging plants. Other sustainable improvements include an air and water filtration system, rain water harvesting, eco-friendly finish materials and a new green roof.
Tenants include Grey Global and Tiffany & Co. Mario Batali’s new retail store/restaurant Eataly occupies the ground floor. Amenities include AirPort and Bluetooth technology and an electric power generator on premises. The Toy Center’s location on Madison Square Park provides access to several subway lines including the N and R trains.
